"Right there," says the Lizardfolk, indicating around a nearby corner (to the east), beyond which Elfo can't see anything.
Elfo goes around the corner, to his left, and opens a door. "Can I help you?" says the gruff voice of a chubby dwarf in a greasy apron. He is scrubbing a grill, as if cleaning up after cooking. The room appears to be a kitchen, piled high with pots and pans.
"No, you're good," says Elfo, backing out and closing the door.
He goes to the next door to the left, which he also finds unlocked, so he opens it and goes in. The northwest corner of this small room is occupied by what appears to be a large shrine, mostly a wood carving of a large black dragon, but whose face bears a striking resemblance to that of Lizardfolk. Against one wall are some rolled-up pads made of reeds, as one might use for prayer or yoga. There are two doors on the west wall.
Elfo pokes around the room for a couple minutes. There isn't much here except the shrine, and he keenly notices a hidden compartment underneath the dragon's head. Hmm, that's interesting. He reaches in it, touches something metal, and pulls out a Dagger of Venom! Aha, quite a find! |
