Barry, Elbolin, and Karat follow behind, and also explore the room, finding nothing else of interest. Barry is starting to shimmer as the invisibility spell begins to wear off, so he also puts on cultist clothes.

Elbolin opens one of the doors on the west wall, the southernmost door, and behind it he finds stairs heading upward. "Stairs over here," he whispers to his companions, and ascends. He finds himself in a small, awkwardly-shaped room, devoid of any furniture. The only items in this room are some crates, several of which are open, containing books. The books appear to be of a variety of topics - some history, some lore, some fiction, even poetry, and many in strange languages - but all of them appear to be of the finest sort, with fancy covers of leather or carved wood, with gilded edges and metal clasps. Some of the books are piled on the crates or on the floor as if someone was in the process of sorting them.

Elfo, Karat, and Barry follow close behind, and they notice that the Lizardfolk is also following them.
