Most of the adventurers charge in on their horses, slashing with whatever weapons they have on hand. Except Elbolin, who jumps down and attacks on the ground. The cultists fight back weakly, but mostly they give ground, backing up to avoid any blows. The adventurers continue to advance on them until they are quite a distance from their cart, at which point a second group of cultists emerges from hiding on the side of the road, swarming their cart and quickly turning it around, galloping off on the road in the general direction of Greenest.

Black Barry yells to Gourbain to throw a Fog Cloud, but for some reason Gourbain doesn't think it will be effective. They continue to chase the cart, eating dust and lobbing arrows at the cultists, until they manage to kill most of them, and the last couple jump off the cart and scatter. They examine the egg; luckily, it survived the journey.

They decide at this point to avoid the roads, and make their way north through the forest. Before long they arrive at the road that bypasses Greenest roughly east-to-west, and follow it to the road that heads south toward Elturel. This turns out to have been a good decision; a trader coming out of Greenest on the road to the east tells them that there was a cultist roadblock on the road going east out of the town, so if they had taken that road, they would have had to deal with them.

They keep a good pace to stay ahead of any cultists that might be giving chase, and camp each night away from the road, where they are unlikely to be noticed - a good idea on these roads anyway, as bandits are not unusual. For six days they travel to the north and west, encountering only occasional villagers and traders - and one time, a group appearing to be common bandits, but they take one look at the adventurers and pass as quickly as possible.

They arrive in Elturel in the early part of the evening, but it never gets completely dark in Elturel due to the brilliant magical light that hovers above it. It is a large city, and they have no idea how to find Ontharr Frume, so they ask a passerby if he has any idea. "Sure, Ontharr Frume, the Order of the Gauntlet guy," answers the stranger. "Don't know him personally, but everybody knows who he is. He has a tavern called A Pair of Black Antlers, I can tell you how to get there."

With his directions, they find their way to a tavern, with a big sign outside that says, in fact, A Pair of Black Antlers. Hooflepoof, Bilbo, and Black Barry tie up their horses and step up to the door of the tavern. The others stay with the cart. Bilbo readies her weapon and the three walk casually through the door.

Inside, they find a rather typical tavern, with dim lighting and a number of tables scattered about the floor. A few small groups of people converse with themselves at their tables. The bartender, a heavy-set bald man with a large red beard, greets them heartily. "Welcome to the Pair of Black Antlers, have a seat anywhere you like. Can I get you something to drink?"

Hooflepoof orders an ale, and Bilbo and Black Barry say "same". They choose a table in the middle of the room, not too close to anybody.

Noticing Bilbo's drawn weapon, the bartender says "Little bit nervous, are we? Best put that weapon away, there won't be no fightin' in here, unless it's a friendly arm-wrestlin'!". Bilbo puts her weapon away.

Hooflepoof speaks up. "We're looking for somebody named Ontharr Frume. We were told to look here. Do you know where we can find him?"

"Well," says the bartender, "do you know what he looks like?"

"No," says Hooflepoof.

"Well that's him right over there!" says the bartender, indicating one of the tables in the corner, occupied by three very old men with long white beards. He disappears into the kitchen.

The three leave their ales on the table, and get up to approach the old guys.

"Excuse me, are any of you Ontharr Frume?" asks Hooflepoof.

The old guys seem to find this funny. One says to the other "Are you Ontharr Frume?", he answers, "No, I thought he was Ontharr Frume", pointing to the third, who says "I think we're all Ontharr Frume", and they all laugh like it's some inside joke.

"Do you know Leosin?"

They get serious for a moment, scratching their heads and looking up as if searching long dusty memories. Then one of them speaks up, "Don't know Leosin, don't know Mitosin, don't know Magosin." They start chuckling again and one of them says "I don't know Leosin, but if find him I'll string him up by his toes, 'cause he done kilt my brothaa!" and they all burst out laughing.

At that point the bartender returns with a wide smile. "Did you figure it out yet?"

"No," says Black Barry, seeming a little annoyed.

"I am Ontharr Frume," says the bartender with a slightly comical bow, "at your service."

Black Barry pulls out his rapier.

Ontharr laughs, but eyes the weapon. "Put the weapon away please," he says, "no fighting in here." Black Barry doesn't put it away.

"My friend Leosin sent us here," explains Hooflepoof. "He said to come here for my cloak, which is in his possession. Do you know about this?"

"Sure, I know Leosin," says Ontharr, "Good friend of mine. He's been staying here the last few days. He didn't mention any cloak, though. I can ask him about it when I see him. Where are you guys staying?"
