Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, and Kevin Bacon play estranged boyhood friends, connected by a dramatic experience, who end up later in various roles surrounding a grisly murder. Somewhat psychological, somewhat mysterious, rather dramatic. Kind of deep, in a slightly psychotic way. Great performances from the three stars. R mainly for the grizzle, some language.
