This is the first and best Bollywood (aka Hindi musical) film that I have seen. Fitting with the genre, the dialog is cheesy and the story full of cliches. But this film stands above the rest in many ways. It features the angelic Aishwara Rai in her prime. The art direction, cinematography, and choreography are a feast. The music is catchy, yet draws on Indian classical sources and features excellent vocals. If you want to see what Bollywood films are like, check this one out. Hindi.
