This film, Gus Van Sant's latest, involves a Columbine-like scenario. Don't expect a probing analysis; it's more like a photograph.

Did nothing for me. The subject matter and style could be interesting - taking an incident of mass murder and showing all the lives leading up to it, sort of as an interruption to life - but it is very poorly executed. The characters and dialog are totally amateurish and nearly unbearable, and the development is painfully slow. If you do watch it, look for clues about where it takes place. I guessed it from very interesting and subtle clues. Not for kids.

I found this movie to be very repetitive and very confusing. I couldn't for the life of me make sense of it...then I realized that my dvd player was set on 'random.' : ) (I woudn't recommend using that setting for movies.) But by the time I came to that realization I had done my 2 hours and didn't want to spend another 2 hours at it.... I imagine it could have been moderately interesting if watched from beginning to end.
