Not my type. A very serious movie about a man going through a sort of near-end-of-life crisis and rediscovery. Of course Nicholson gives a stellar performance as the old guy. But it's just sort of sad and pointless. R for showing Kathy Bates topless, which seems appropriate.

I thought this film was pretty original and interesting. Definitely worth seeing (but not amazing). And how can you go wrong with a penpal named Ngutu?

I thought this was a pretty good movie. It is sad. This kind of sad makes my stomach get all tight. I did think it was worth watching, though. Nicholson did a great job as an old man who, after retiremnent, finds himself unable to find any importance or meaning in life. This movie is his journey adapting to the new season in his life as well as the loss of his wife of many years.
