Seeing Those Smiles! | | fritz | Apr 9, 2021 | She's really been interacting with us the last few days. She'd had quite a few "practice smiles", but now she's really smiling at us, almost laughing - sort of in response to stimulus, but it's not quite predictable. She watches my mouth really carefully when I talk, and moves her little mouth like she's trying to imitate me. She doesn't really know how to make a voice yet, but she does it sometimes, making little baby-voice noises.
After seeing how she liked being upside-down and moving her head around, I started doing a thing where I'd lift her up by her arms, from a position of laying on her back, and she'd look around that way and seemed to really like it. Lately her head strong enough that she keeps it up, still looking around, but not sort of falling back like she used to. She still seems to like the unrestricted head movement. She always tracks what she wants to look at now.
We've also been taking her swimming the last couple of weeks, with this inflatable thing that goes around her neck. She likes it, just kind of chills and kicks around in the bathtub. | Next: Eye Tracking |
