Today was the first day she really seemed to be looking at us, momentarily locking her eyes and seeming to really see things. The first glimpse of it was yesterday, just briefly once she seemed to actually look at my face, but I didn't think her eyes worked that well so I asked the pediatrician about it this morning and she said that yes, she could see quite well within a foot or two, but blurry beyond that.

I was just walking her around in the early afternoon, in typical baby position facing up, and she really started looking at me. I talked to her, and passed her around to Vera and Victoria, and for about an hour she just seemed to be looking at everyone - well, trying, and occasionally succeeding, at getting her eyes locked on something. After that she went to sleep, just completely knocked out for like 9 hours. All that information must have been exhausting. Later at night we walked around again, and again she seemed to be really trying to look at me, and often really seeming to connect.
