Hooflepoof continues to search the remainder of the stables. He doesn't find any weapons, but he finds their two horses, who are very happy to see him (at least they seem to be; horses are hard to read, and he doesn't speak Horse). Then he goes back to the group and tells them he didn't find their weapons.

"Hurry," says Leosin, "we really should get out of here."

"Do you have any idea where they could have stashed our weapons?" Elbolin asks Leosin.

"No idea," he answers.

So the adventures start searching the guest rooms. Most are unlocked, and most are empty. There are a few people sleeping in different rooms, mostly covered in soot as they had been up all night fighting the fires. No weapons. The two doors at the southern end of the lower floor are locked, so of course they seem suspicious.

Hooflepoof pulls out his lock-picking kit and starts working on the door at the end. He expects it will be fairly difficult to pick the lock, but he hardly gets started before all the metal falls out and the door falls completely off its hinges with a loud thud. In the room behind, he sees a combination of an office and bedroom, with a desk, a bed, and a small seating area. As the dust settles, he recognizes Bog Luck sitting at the desk. "Um... hi, can I help you?" Bog asks.

"Do you have our weapons?" asks Hooflepoof.

"Oh, yer weapons. Matter o' fact, I have 'em right here. Just holdin' 'em for you."

Their weapons are piled in a corner of the room. Bog Luck apparently recognizes that this is not a fight he could win, so he hands them over obligingly.

"Ok, thanks," says Hooflepoof. "Sorry about the door". He stands it up awkwardly, somewhat comically, in the doorway.

So then they move to the next door. Hooflepoof tries to pick that lock as well, but for some reason it isn't as fragile, and he can't release it. "Excuse me," says Bilbo, stepping up with her greataxe, and proceeds to bash the door into sawdust. This room is a little smaller than Bog Luck's, but also has a desk and a bed. There is nobody here.

Just then Bog Luck steps around the corner. "What the... what are you guys doing?" he asks, incredulously.

"The door wouldn't open," says Hooflepoof.

"There's nothing in there for you. That's just Ardred's room."

Hooflepoof points wordlessly to Adred's corpse, lying where he fell on the floor of the roadhouse. Bog Luck goes over there and sees that Ardred is dead.

"You guys are just awful," he says. "There's nothing for you here. Can you just go? I don't care where, just go. Get out of my roadhouse and away from my people."
