As Karat, Elfo, Bilbo, and Hooflepoof are standing near the doorway of the roadhouse, trying to figure out what to do next, a human rogue gallops up the road on horseback, pulling to a stop just outside the roadhouse. "Is one of you Bog Luck?" asks the rider.
"No, I'm not," answers Elfo.
"I'm looking for Bog Luck," says the rogue impatiently.
"Why are you looking for Bog Luck?" asks Bilbo.
"I have an urgent message for him."
"What's the message?"
"The message is for Bog Luck only."
Hooflepoof interrupts: "Hi, I'm Bog Luck."
"All right, Mr. Luck" says the rogue. "No need to write this down, it's only two words: Execute Them!", and he rides off as fast as he came.
Adred again enters the room where the other adventurers are chained, flanked by three cultists. "Get up!" he orders.
"Did you hear from your boss?" asks Elbolin politely.
"That's none of your business, prisoner" answers Ardred impolitely.
The adventurers decide to cooperate with the cultists for the moment, since it seems they can do little else, with these chains on them. The cultists rechain the hands that they freed for eating, and chain each prisoners' legs together so that they can't run, only move in a prison shuffle. They escort them out of the stable, back into the charred-smelling roadhouse, to one of the rooms along the western side. This room appears to have been hastily prepared for a makeshift jail, with heavy iron bars placed over the windows, and the doors reinforced. The prisoners are thrown down on the floor and their chains are removed; apparently the cultists think the adventurers little threat without weapons. But Elbolin thinks otherwise; he looks questioning at Barry, trying to silently judge his position on the matter, but reading nothing from Barry's face, yells out "Fight back!" and launches an attack on their captors.
