Gristle Pete serves up the dinner, and it is greasy, primitive, and delicious. The cafeteria becomes a din of clattering forks and chattering workers. The adventurers catch up on what each one saw.

Leosin, while invisible, had followed the workers into the store room. "They are putting some things in the storage room. But some boxes, they put back in the secure room behind it. We have to follow, and see where it's going from there."

"What should we do," Elbolin asks of Leosin, "should we go tonight, or in the morning?"

"The Mere of Dead Men is pretty scary at night," says Leosin. "I definitely wouldn't go there alone. Now, with you guys? Still scary. I think we should wait for daylight."

The adventurers decide that they should go in the morning, and follow the trail of loot.

A bit later, Bog Luck comes by. "So, you guys going out with the work crew tomorrow?"

"We don't feel like working on the road," answers Hooflepoof. "We're going to head out tomorrow."

"Well you'll have to pay for your room and board then."

"Can we just pay tomorrow?"

Bog Looks a little annoyed. "Well, you might as well just pay up now."

So, they pay Bog Luck, he makes notes in his log book, and they all retire to quarters. But before going to sleep, Hooflepoof gets up, puts on his Cloak of Invisibility, and plants four of his packets of smokepowder around the kitchen, in places near where fires will be lit for cooking.
