Barry pulls Noohar into the cart, protecting him while fighting the hobgoblins as best he can from that position. As the battle continues, the adventurers clearly have the upper hand, even with the hobgoblins attempting to stay hidden in the foliage. Bilbo kills one, Hooflepoof kills another, Karat brings one down, and the rest disappear into the forest.

Noohar stays hidden while Barry makes sure the coast is clear, taking the opportunity to search the body of one of the hobgoblins. He doesn't find much of interest, but he does find a very tough piece of jerky with just one bite out of it, with a magical ability to feed a person for a full week. Bilbo and Elbolin, searching the other two carcasses, find the same.
