And then, an epic battle ensues. Seven cultists charge the adventurers and attack them with scimitars, while seven guards launch volley after volley of spears from just inside the mill. Nars is quickly injured and runs around the side of the mill out of range of the spears, Elfo soon follows to check on him, and Elbolin also uses the corner as a launching point from which to create sneak attacks on the guards just inside the mill door, killing one. Hooflepoof returns fire on the guards with his shortbow, also killing one. The rest engage mainly in hand-to-hand combat with the cultists out in the open, and manage to kill all of the cultists while taking only minor damage. Five of the guards still remain in the fight.
