We're going to go to the beach, though it's late in the evening, it's our last chance before leaving (probably Hawaii) tomorrow. But we can't, it turns out the beach is closed for the night. Chances are over.

Another scene, I shaved my beard. Vera doesn't seem to notice, so I have to tell her. But my jowls have grown rather large, my cheeks are all round, and it obviously doesn't look good. I can't have this look unless I lose some weight. I tell Vera that I'll start growing it back right away.
