I'm in a living room type environment, though it isn't familiar from real life, and I don't see much of what is around. I am kneeling on the ground, on a shaggy, pale-colored carpet. Suddenly I see these small bulges under the carpet, moving away from me. There are mice running under the carpet!

I scramble to catch them, and call the dogs. At least one already passed under the carpet and has disappeared. Bella sets upon one, and another one scrambles under some furniture, but where there is a fairly large space I can reach under, and I start trying to kill it. Bella continues fighting with the other one, not necessarily winning, and I'm having the same trouble. I'm hitting it with a file, like is used for woodworking, but the tool is very light and it seems like I can't get a good blow. The mouse is large like a rat, and by now all bloody, but keeps fighting back as I call for help, while still fighting the revulsion of having to kill this innocent creature.
