I am vacationing in a beach community, but we're leaving tomorrow and we haven't even been to the actual beach! It's evening already, and starting to cool off, but I am going to the beach. I must! Although I think maybe we have some daytime free tomorrow, we could go to the beach then. But I'm frustrated and insistent, I must go to the beach, I just really love the beach!
But first I have to use the bathroom, and there's this concrete bathroom building here, and it has plenty of toilets, but they seem to be all modified so that they are impossible to use. One has the toilet fixture removed, so there's just a pipe on the wall - ok a pipe would be usable, but it's on the wall. Another room has four toilets, but they're arranged back-to-back in a circle (or, like a flower pattern) with no privacy. That won't work!
Maybe because of the bathroom situation, I end up getting in a small car with these two strangers, a young woman and man. The man has something going on with his teeth; they look like metal across the front when he smiles. We go to an old Victorian-style house where they apparently have some sort of interview, so they get out to talk to the people. I get out too, just to hang around outside, and I have a couple dogs with me who run around in the yard. I decide I don't want to be here, I want to go to the beach, and pack up my things (a small backpack or something), but I don't have enough leashes - I think I have just one, and two dogs. Just then they return to the car. They are sort of nervous-laughing, like it was some kind of close call, having my dogs running around while they're doing their interview, and they want to prevent that for the next one. I say it's ok, I had already decided to move along, and I'm heading to the beach. They seem sort of shocked and disappointed that I am parting from them. |
