I'm involved in some life-or-death game, like in some science fiction story. We've been given a challenge where we're handed a tangle of padlocks and keys, about five of each, and we have to find the right key to unlock the padlocks. I quickly assess the statistics of choosing the right one, and the challenge seems so ridiculous and random that I hardly try. It seems someone was handed a set that already had the correct key in the correct lock, and the challenge is immediately over. You go to jail or you die, they say. When the judge comes to me and sees my locks, he takes them and tells me to sit over here in these seats like at a movie theater, and I go there and sit. Amber is on my lap, but a few years older than real life, and she still has her set of locks. But I'm not sure what this means, if we're sitting in these seats because we're about to go to jail, or to die.
