My cousin Eric is coming to town, and He wants to borrow my truck for a few days. I believe my mother is telling me this, and it's very much expected that I would loan him my truck, almost like it's already been negotiated and settled.

But I don't want to loan him my truck. I need it, and anyway it's got a problem with the parking brake; if you set it, you can't release it unless you know how to find the lever under the dash, and I don't want him to get stuck somewhere.
